Player Bio and Testimonial

My name is Nikki Ward, and I excel on defense in the corners. My fielding percentage this past high school season was .94, and I was voted Best Defense by my teammates. I am also a power hitter and brought in 23 RBIs this past high school season. I’m a competitive person that isn’t afraid to work hard. My favorite thing about softball is being part of a team. When I’m on the field, I don’t worry about anything else.

From Coach LP: Nikki is an absolute light on the field. Her joyful personality and contagious smile show how much she loves the game each and every day. She has an amazing ability to change the atmosphere of any situation into something with positivity and joy. At the plate, Nikki has an hot barrel with great exit velos. She is an extremely clutch batter, being one of my top RBI leaders on my team last year. I can always count on Nikki to get her job done at the plate and produce. Defensively, she has a great glove at first base being able to scoop short hops in the dirt, catch balls coming from difficult arm slots from fielders, and covers the short game very well. At third, Nikki has a very strong arm and reads plays extremely well. She is always communicating with her teammates on the field, being a great defensive vocal leader. Nikki’s spirit reminds everyone why they chose to play this game in the first place.
